In 2022, Ukrainians opened about 16,000 individual entrepreneurs in Poland, and in the first half of 2023 there were almost 14,000 of them, almost every tenth company created in Poland was Ukrainian, the Polish Economic Institute reported.

From October 2022 to December 2022, we observed a decrease in the pace of creation of new companies, but 2023 brought record volumes. In the first half of the year, 13,900 natural persons-entrepreneurs were registered.

From the beginning of the war in Ukraine to the end of June 2023, 29,400 Ukrainian FLPs were registered in the database. Construction, information and communication, as well as services prevail among industries.

In January 2022, citizens of Ukraine opened only 188 enterprises in Poland, a similar number was recorded in February 2022. The situation changed dramatically after the beginning of the Russian invasion. In April 2022, compared to March, the number of companies increased by almost three times, and since May last year, at least 1,000 new companies have been registered every month.

Since the beginning of 2023, the organization records the creation of more than 2,000 Ukrainian FLPs every month.

Ukrainian companies account for 67% of all new foreign businesses and 10% of all firms created during the first half of 2023.

More than half (61%) of foreign natural persons-entrepreneurs registered from January 2022 to June 2023 have owners with Ukrainian citizenship.
