Ukroboronprom will create a joint venture, service center and production of drones with European companies

Alexander Kamyshin emphasized that Ukrainian companies have signed specific documents on future partnerships with European companies.

Companies included in joint-stock companies Defense industry of Ukraine (Ukroboronprom), entered into five partnership agreements during the international exhibition of the defense industry Eurosatory in Paris. This was announced by Minister for Strategic Industries Alexander Kamyshin on Telegram on Thursday, June

“Ukrainian companies not only present their developments there, but also sign specific documents on future cooperation,” the official noted.

New agreements were concluded in the following areas:

  • A memorandum with French Thales on the creation of a joint venture in Ukraine that will repair and modernize equipment for electronic warfare, communications, air defense systems and radar.
  • Creation of a French Thales service center in Ukraine, which will be engaged in servicing and testing of electronic warfare and radar.
  • Joint production of unmanned aircraft with the French Hexadrone.
  • Installation and test use of Exail navigation system on Ukrainian-made radar.
  • Maintenance and modernization of armored vehicles from Arquus.
  • The French association GICAT signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Technological Forces of Ukraine association, and one of the private drone developers agreed to jointly develop a UAV with Thales.
“We look forward to long-term and fruitful cooperation, which will increase the defense capabilities not only of Ukraine, but also of the entire European Union, of which we will eventually become a part,” added Kamyshin.

As already written, the first workshop for the repair and production of armored vehicles was launched in Ukraine within the framework of the joint venture JSC Ukroboronprom and global German defense giant Rheinmetall.
