UkrOliya invested UAH 50mln (USD 1.9mln) into launching an organic production plant for sunflower oil in Poltava region of Ukraine, told Yuriy Shevchenko the Project Development Head of UkrOliaya at his interview to Delo.Ua. The funds for UkrOliya Organic plant were obtained from the long term loans from UkrEximBank and ProCredit bank.

The projected capacity for the new organic sunflower oil production amounts to 18 000 tons, that is 7,020 tons of edible organic oil, 7,100 of seed cakes, and 3,000tons of sunflower seed husk.

The enterprise is capable to process additionally 50 000tons of soybeans and produce 6,750tons of organic soybean oil.

UkrOliya Organic has obtained the EU certificate for organic production and processing. The organic sunflower seeds for processing were bought from Agroekoligia company. The cost of organic raw materials is essentially higher fueling the price of the organic oils.

The company will also start with a new organic brand for the bottled organic production to become available soon in local chain stores and organic food chains. In the future, UkrOliya Organic will export its products to the EU and the USA, told Yuriy Shevchenko.
