Ular Group to invest in expanding a poultry farm in Lviv region to 7.4 million broilers per year

Sukhovolia Agro, a company affiliated with Ular Group, plans to expand its poultry farm in Lviv region, increasing production capacity to 7.43 million broilers per year

Sukhovolia Agro, a company affiliated with Ular Group — one of the largest poultry producers in western Ukraine — plans to expand the capacity of its poultry farm in Lviv region by more than 50%. After the upgrade, the facility will be able to raise up to 7.43 million broilers per year. This is stated in the company’s planned activity documentation.

The poultry farm is located in the village of Sukhovolia near Brody and has been operating since 2018. The complex currently covers about 19 hectares and includes 10 poultry houses. The company intends to build six additional broiler houses. As a result, the facility’s capacity will increase to 1.23 million birds per placement, or 7.43 million broilers annually.

According to the project documentation, the farm will raise broilers from day-old chicks with an initial weight of around 40 grams. The fattening cycle will last 45 days, after which the birds will reach a market weight of about 3.5 kg.

For comparison, in 2025 the enterprise had nine poultry houses and production capacity of 3.31 million broilers per year, which means that output will more than double after the project is implemented.

According to YouControl, the charter capital of Sukhovolia Agro LLC amounts to UAH 3.77 million. In 2025, the company reported one employee and a net loss of more than UAH 188,000.

The company’s director and owner is listed as Lviv-based entrepreneur Mykola Huliaihrodskyi, who is affiliated with Ular Group. He is also the head or founder of a number of companies operating in poultry farming, energy, construction, and real estate.

Ular Group is considered one of Ukraine’s oldest family-owned poultry producers and operates under a full-cycle production model — from poultry farming and feed production to processing, packaging, and product logistics. The group’s structure includes several poultry farms, a grain elevator, a feed mill, and a slaughterhouse in Lviv region.

According to Forbes Ukraine, in 2024 Ular produced 41,400 tons of chicken meat, accounting for about 3% of the Ukrainian market. The group’s revenue amounted to UAH 3.6 billion. The business is owned by Oleh Pupa, Ihor Dardello, Olha Durdelo, and other co-owners.
