According to Myroslav Biletskyi, Head of the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration, the topic was discussed during a meeting with Peter Vanisch, the company’s project implementation representative for Ukraine.
Calmit GmbH operates subsidiaries across Europe and may soon establish another one in the Batovo community of Zakarpattia.
Calmit is an Austrian producer of lime and construction materials. Its product line includes both hydrated and quicklime, widely used in the construction industry for applications such as plaster mixes, masonry, and soil stabilization.
Biletskyi stated that company representatives have already inspected a potential site for the plant. The village’s proximity to the border makes it well suited to meet customer requirements.
While investors are still evaluating the technical conditions, discussions are already underway with Calmit’s founders and Ukrainian representatives.
“In the coming decades, the construction sector in Ukraine will see rapid development, making such materials highly sought after on the market,” emphasized Myroslav Biletskyi.
