Avesterra Group Invests €15 Million in 20 New Poultry Houses in Volyn

Avesterra Group expands production capacity as a new complex of 20 poultry houses begins operations in Volyn following a €15 million investment

Ukrainian agricultural holding Avesterra Group has launched a new production site in the Volyn region featuring 20 modern poultry houses, investing €15 million in the development of its production infrastructure. The project represents another stage in the company’s expansion and strengthening of its production capacity amid the ongoing full-scale war.

The new poultry houses were built in accordance with European standards of biosecurity and animal welfare. They are equipped with automated systems for microclimate control, ventilation, feeding, and watering, ensuring stable production conditions and a high level of operational efficiency.

Today, Avesterra Group’s poultry division includes 12 production teams and 120 poultry houses, enabling the company to raise up to 35.1 million birds annually. The one-time stocking capacity across the company’s facilities exceeds 5 million birds.

The new production site occupies 19 hectares, with a total built-up area exceeding 55,000 square meters. The poultry houses are equipped with systems from the German manufacturer Big Dutchman, providing automated watering, feeding, ventilation, and climate control technologies.

Avesterra Group owner Dmytro Dobkin noted that the investment in the new site is part of the company’s long-term development strategy and modernization of production.

We invested €15 million in this site, and this is only the first step. By 2028, we plan to build six such production sites, each with 20 poultry houses, and invest around €100 million in total. This will allow us to fully utilize our production capacity and reach output of about a quarter of a million broilers per day. Overall, over the next five years we plan to invest around €300 million in the company’s development — in new production facilities, hatcheries, parent stock, and a biomethane gas plant, he said.

CEO of Avesterra Group, Svitlana Sobipan, emphasized that the opening of the new facility is the result of systematic work by the company’s team.

The site consists of 20 modern poultry houses equipped with high-tech systems. We are developing the company in a systematic way, focusing on technology, biosecurity, and consistent product quality. Even in challenging times, we continue to implement strategic investment projects, she said.

Representatives of government authorities and local administration also attended the opening ceremony. They highlighted the importance of developing modern agricultural production for the regional economy and national food security.

Volodymyr Koval, head of the Main Directorate of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection in Volyn region, noted that Ukraine opened 19 new markets for agricultural exports in 2025 as a result of coordinated work by government institutions.

At this enterprise we see a systematic approach to implementing modern technologies, ensuring biosecurity, and maintaining stable product quality. Such production facilities help shape Ukraine’s reputation as a reliable supplier of high-quality food products in global markets, he said.

Yurii Lobach, head of the Volyn District Military Administration, stressed the company’s role in the regional economy.

Even in a difficult time for the country, Avesterra Group not only continues operating but also invests in production, creates jobs, and supports local communities. This is an example of responsible business that believes in the country and supports its development through investment, he said.

Viktor Polishchuk, head of the Ustyluh city territorial community, added that the company’s enterprises generate around 13% of the community’s own budget revenues, which amounts to approximately UAH 10 million annually.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Avesterra Group has invested more than €75 million in modernization and development of its production facilities. The company also remains one of the sector’s largest taxpayers: in 2025 the group’s enterprises paid more than UAH 500 million to state and local budgets, and over UAH 1.5 billion since the start of the war.

Avesterra Group ranks among the top four poultry producers in Ukraine and operates a fully integrated production cycle — from grain cultivation to processing and logistics of finished products. The company employs more than 1,500 people, operates 120 poultry houses, and runs a meat-processing complex with a capacity of 13,500 broilers per hour.

The company’s products are sold on the Ukrainian market under the Epikur and Chebaturka brands, and internationally under the Delika brand.
