Ukrainian group BALEX, which specializes in the production of ingredients for the food industry, will invest more than $15 million in the construction of a new production and logistics complex at the Bila Tserkva Industrial Park in Kyiv Region. The launch of the project was announced on June 18 during the Industrial Evolution: Manufacturing Drives the Economy forum, where a capsule-laying ceremony was held for the future facility.

The new complex will be located on a 7.8-hectare site and will be implemented in several stages during 2026–2030. At the first stage, the company will build production facilities with a total area of more than 11,000 sq m, where it will manufacture fillings, confectionery glazes and masses, as well as plant-based products. The project also provides for the creation of modern logistics infrastructure to support supply chains.

According to BALEX CEO Stanislav Haidai, the company continues to actively invest in production development even amid the war. He recalled that in 2023 BALEX acquired an unfinished facility and launched the production of plant-based cream there.

“In the suburbs of Kharkiv, we created one of the most successful enterprises for the production of these products. Now we are building new facilities at the Bila Tserkva Industrial Park, where three production lines and a logistics complex will operate. We will become the first company in Ukraine to produce plant-based cream for export,” Haidai said.

He also noted that the company continues to develop its production facilities in Kharkiv Region. In 2026, it launched its own research and innovation center, which will focus on developing new products and technologies.

BALEX group is one of the largest producers of ingredients for the food industry in Ukraine. The company produces pressed yeast, dry mixes, improvers, fillings, confectionery glazes and masses, plant-based components, as well as craft beer. Its products are exported to more than 20 countries worldwide.

The company was founded in 1994. Its main owners are Oleksandr Bandurka, Iryna Bandurka and Stanislav Haidai. BALEX’s headquarters and main production facilities are located in Kharkiv, while the company also has representative offices in Kyiv, Lviv and Kropyvnytskyi.

According to OpenDataBot, the company’s revenue in 2025 amounted to UAH 169.7 million, down 27.7% year-on-year. Net profit decreased to UAH 117.9 million, compared with UAH 134.4 million a year earlier.

Bila Tserkva Industrial Park is one of Ukraine’s largest industrial projects and is being developed by UFuture, the holding company of entrepreneur Vasyl Khmelnytsky. Together with the Bila Tserkva 2 Industrial Park, the project covers more than 70 hectares and envisages the construction of over 235,000 sq m of production and warehouse premises. As of 2026, the park has 19 residents, while the total investment planned to be attracted by 2030 exceeds $250 million.
