Chinese Tebian Electric Apparatus will construct a wind power plant for EUR 500mln in Mykolaiv region in Ukraine, according to the press service of the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate (DABI). The wind farm projected capacity is 500MW making it the most powerful in its kind in Eastern Europe. The facility will be put into operations in 2019, as a master plan reads.
Recently, TBEA Regional Director and the head of the State Service for Architecture and Construction in Ukraine conducted talks concerning the licensing of the construction for the wind farm.
In recent times, Chinese companies are actively engaging into investing in green energy projects in Ukraine. To remind, two Chinese companies CCEC (China National Complete Engineering Corporation) and private company GCL (Golden Concord Holdings Limited) signed protocol of intentions for the implementation of energy projects in the Odessa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
As of present, the largest wind farm in Ukraine is the Botiev Wind Power Plant with a projected capacity of 200 MW. It is a part of Priazovsky Wind Farm belonging to DTEK Energo, associated with domestic tycoon Rinat Akhmetov.
