EBRD Considering up to €50M Loan to Nova Poshta

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is preparing a loan to Nova Poshta LLC to support part of its 2025–2026 capital investment program.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is planning to extend a loan of up to €50 million to Ukraine’s leading private postal and courier company, Nova Poshta, to finance a portion of its upcoming capital investment program for 2025–2026.

According to Nova Poshta, the funding will support the implementation of its strategic plan, which focuses on enhancing physical infrastructure, optimizing and expanding its network, modernizing IT systems, improving energy efficiency, and rebuilding human capital.

The loan is expected to be structured as a multi-currency facility, allowing disbursements in both euros and Ukrainian hryvnias. It will consist of two tranches: the first, amounting to €35 million, will be committed upon signing; the second tranche of €15 million will remain uncommitted and subject to the bank’s discretion.

The total project cost is estimated at €69.1 million.

The EBRD noted that Nova Poshta operates the largest private logistics and courier network in Ukraine, with over 12,000 branches, 27,000 parcel lockers, and a workforce of approximately 34,000 employees. The company serves more than 11 million customers monthly across the country.

This proposed loan, which has passed the final review stage and may be approved as early as June, represents the fifth collaboration between Nova Group and the EBRD.
