EU to allocate EUR 20mln of technical assistance

The funds will be used for public administration reforms

Part of the technical assistance from the European Union in the amount of EUR 20mln will be channeled for the increase in salaries of government and public officials in the framework of public administration reform. The first part of the tranche worth EUR 10mln has already been remitted in May 2017 for the reforms in 2017-2020.

This reform will cost UAH 1.489bn (EUR 55mln), according to the estimates of FInMin budgets.

This amount consists of two parts ─ EUR 20mln (UAH 620mln) converted into hryvnia of the EU technical assistance and the rest will be the proceeds from the state budget. This money will be enough to complete the transformation of all the ministries, told a minister of the government of Ukraine Alexander Saenko.

The total amount of the technical assistance from the EU is expected to reach EUR 100mln.
