Finland-based Reka Rubber Group, which specializes in the production of rubber and silicone components for industrial applications, will invest around €5 million in establishing a new manufacturing facility in Novoselytsia, Chernivtsi Region. The plant will produce hoses and other components for heavy machinery, automotive and agricultural equipment. This will be the company’s first manufacturing project in Ukraine.
The launch of the project was announced by Ruslan Osypenko, Head of the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration. To establish the production facility, Reka Rubber Group will reconstruct the premises of a former furniture factory in Novoselytsia. The main construction and preparatory works are expected to be completed in early 2027, after which the plant is scheduled to begin operations.
At the first stage, the new plant will create around 60 jobs. As production expands, the company plans to increase its workforce to approximately 160 employees. Reka Rubber Group has already started recruiting personnel, with some employees expected to undergo professional training and internships at the company’s facilities in Poland.
The Novoselytsia plant will manufacture silicone and rubber tubes for engine cooling systems, as well as gaskets, seals, shock absorbers and components for anti-vibration systems. These products are used in various types of industrial and heavy machinery. In particular, the company’s components are used in Volvo trucks, as well as John Deere, Caterpillar and Claas combines and tractors.
According to Markku Rentto, Chairman of the Board of Reka Rubber Group, the facility in Chernivtsi Region will be focused on supplying components to European manufacturers. Production in Ukraine is therefore expected to become part of Reka Rubber Group’s existing industrial supply chain and expand its manufacturing capacity in Europe.
The company selected Novoselytsia in part due to the region’s logistical advantages. The enterprise will be registered directly in Novoselytsia, which is also expected to generate additional tax revenues for the local budget.
Reka Rubber Group was founded in 1955 in Hyvinkää, Finland. The company develops and manufactures rubber and silicone products for heavy industry, the automotive sector and agricultural machinery manufacturing. Its product portfolio includes hoses, seals, gaskets, shock absorbers and components for anti-vibration systems.
The company already operates manufacturing facilities in Finland and Poland, while its headquarters are located in Aura, Finland. In January 2026, Reka Industrial announced the establishment of a subsidiary in Ukraine, laying the groundwork for the subsequent launch of the manufacturing project in Chernivtsi Region.
Reka Rubber Group is part of the industrial investment group Reka Industrial Plc, whose shares are listed on Nasdaq Helsinki. In 2025, Reka Rubber Group generated approximately €31.6 million in revenue and €3.5 million in EBITDA. The company employs around 270 people.
The €5 million investment in Novoselytsia includes the redevelopment of an existing industrial facility and the creation of a new manufacturing operation focused primarily on the European market. Once the plant reaches its planned capacity, the number of jobs in Ukraine could almost triple, from an initial 60 to approximately 160.
