Former head of the board of Rodovid Bank buys Sich Bank

The AMCU allowed Denis Gorbunenko to acquire more than 50% of the bank's shares

As reported in the decision of the AMCU dated April 29, permission was provided to an individual - citizen of Ukraine Gorbunenko Denis Vladimirovich to purchase shares of Bank Sich JSC (Kyiv), which ensures that 50% of the votes in the supreme governing body of the company are exceeded.

Earlier, the AMCU allowed an individual resident of Ukraine to buy more than 50% of the bank's shares, but then the text of the decision was not available.

In the fall of 2019, the NBU recognized the existence of the decisive influence of the former shareholder, ex-head of the board of Rodovid Bank, Denis Gorbunenko, on the activities of Sich Bank and recognized it as the owner of a significant stake in the bank, regardless of formal ownership.

At the end of 2019, Mr Gorbunenko submitted to the NBU a package of documents for obtaining permission to buy a share in the capital of Sich Bank.

Currently, the shareholders of Sich Bank are Oleg Balanda with a 55.615% stake, Valery Razdorozhny - 31.016%, Andrey Melnik - 9.6257% and Oleg Gubanov with 3.7433% of the shares.
