Fozzy Group Enters Polish Market via Carrefour Franchise Partnership

Joint venture IDKFA IDCLIP, established by Ukraine’s Fozzy Group and Polish retail executive Maciej Gawroński, becomes a Carrefour franchisee in Poland

According to Polish retail publication Wiadomości Handlowe, Ukrainian retail group Fozzy (Silpo, Fora, Thrash!) has partnered with Polish manager Maciej Gawroński to establish a joint venture in Poland—IDKFA IDCLIP. Fozzy Holdings Limited holds a 90% stake in the venture, while Gawroński owns the remaining 10%.

The company has already launched its first store in Poznań, operating under the Carrefour brand rather than Fozzy’s native Silpo brand. IDKFA IDCLIP has become a franchisee of Carrefour, a major French retail chain active in the Polish market.

Maciej Gawroński emphasized that Fozzy Group is primarily acting as a financial investor in the project. This move does not yet represent a full-scale market entry of Fozzy’s own retail formats into Poland.

Gawroński brings nearly two decades of retail experience, including a long tenure at Jeronimo Martins and its Biedronka chain—one of Poland’s largest grocery retailers. Since 2017, he has served as Head of Logistics and Supply Chain at Fozzy Group.

Fozzy Group was founded in Kyiv in 1997 by Volodymyr Kostelman. It currently operates Ukraine’s second-largest supermarket chain, following ATB-Market.
