Oliyar Group, known as one of Ukraine’s largest vegetable oil producers, has entered a new business segment by launching a poultry farm for table egg production in the Lviv region.
This was announced by Serhii Tkachuk, Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection. He noted that for Oliyar, poultry farming represents a diversification of the business and effectively a new stage in the company’s development.
The complex is designed to accommodate up to 2.3 million birds. The facility is expected to produce more than 1.7 million eggs per day, making it one of the larger projects in the sector.
The poultry farm’s infrastructure includes 20 poultry houses, as well as a dedicated facility for sorting and packaging products and warehouse space for egg storage.
The launch of the facility took place during a visit by representatives of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection together with Gerard Bakker, Chief Inspector of the Dutch NVWA.
