Major shareholder of Astarta aquires additional 5% stake

Albacon Ventures Ltd, the major shareholder of agricultural leading company Astarta purchased 37 872 of shares of the company corresponding to 5% share stake during 19-21 of July at WSE. As a result of the deal, Albacon Ventures Ltd, associated with the founder of Astarta Viktor Ivanchyk, holds a total of 36.26% of the shares of Astarta Holding NV. To note, Astarta shares surged to PLN 67.5, up 3.8% by the end of the trading session on July 24. 
Astarta is a vertically integrated agricultural and industrial holding operating in the Western, Central and some Eastern regions of Ukraine. It owns 8 sugar plants and milk farms. The company has 250 000ha of land. Three years ago, Astarta also launched a soy bean processing plant in Poltava region.
