Modern Covered Warehouse Launched at Ukraine–Poland Border with 100 000+ Ton Capacity

The Mostyska Container Terminal (MCT) has completed construction of a new covered warehouse spanning over 4,000 sq. m near the Shehyni–Medyka border crossing in Lviv region

According to the MCT website, the new facility is divided into two separate storage zones, significantly enhancing the terminal’s capacity for storing and transshipping various bulk materials — including pellets, grains, fertilizers in big bags, and other goods.

The warehouse is equipped with advanced infrastructure, including an A-Ward container tilting machine. This specialized device rotates containers up to 90 degrees, allowing for faster and more efficient unloading compared to traditional methods using grain throwers.

“The launch of the covered warehouse will not only improve transshipment efficiency but also help our partners reduce logistics costs while ensuring stable storage conditions,” said Dmytro Kobzar, CEO of MCT. “This new facility is a key step in our strategy to establish ourselves as a leading logistics hub at the EU border.”

Strategically located at the Ukrainian-Polish border and connected to both 1435 mm and 1520 mm gauge railway lines, MCT offers flexible multimodal solutions that support seamless trade between Ukraine and the European Union.
