Ukrgasbank has announced that EFSE has allocated a €20 million long-term credit line in the hryvnia equivalent as part of its ongoing cooperation. The funding, supported by a grant-based technical assistance program, is aimed at enhancing the resilience and growth of Ukrainian businesses.
The initiative is focused on improving access to local currency financing for Ukrainian entrepreneurs, particularly in war-affected regions and among vulnerable groups such as women and veterans. It addresses both the immediate needs of businesses during wartime and Ukraine’s long-term economic recovery efforts.
The partnership agreement with the banks was signed on June 17, 2025, in Chișinău during the first-anniversary event of EFSE’s Ukraine Sub-Fund (USF), titled "Unlocking Potential: Charting a Path for Lending Recovery in Ukraine."
The European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE), established in 2005, is an investment fund dedicated to fostering economic development in Southeast Europe and the EU Eastern Neighbourhood region.
