A number of 274 MPs supported the budget for Ukraine in 2017. The government informs that additional spending worth UAH 28.3bn was introduced, as minimum wage rise for up to UAH 3 200 comes into effect next year. At this, the government will spend more for military purposes, agricultural sector; the wages for teachers will increase by 50%; the wages for doctors – up by 30%, as well as additional funds will be channeled for purchases of medicines for patients with chronic diseases, told PM Volodymyr Groysman. The educational scholarships are increased by UAH 2bn, while social scholarships will be cut substantially. The financing of agrarian sector will amount to UAH 1.08bn from a special fund of the state budget in the expense of confiscated assets of corrupt officials. Protection of environment will amount to UAH 160mln, e-government and national informatization programme – UAH 200mln, and UAH 463mln will be spent for the state guarantees upon contracts and loans of the National Guard of Ukraine and Ukrainian Military Forces.
