Resist.UA sells its stake in defense-tech ground robotic system Teslia to Ukraine’s TAF Industries

Ukraine’s TAF Industries has acquired the developer of the Teslia ground robotic system, while defense-tech fund Resist.UA has exited the project by selling its stake following early-stage investment

Ukrainian defense-tech fund Resist.UA has exited its investment in the developer of the Teslia ground robotic system by selling its stake to TAF Industries, one of the largest players in Ukraine’s defense technology market. The transaction value and contract terms have not been disclosed.

Resist.UA was the lead early investor in the project and invested in Phantom Technology, the company that developed the Teslia ground robotic system, in the summer of 2024 at the product launch stage. According to fund representatives, the investment was made at an early stage of the technology’s development, which subsequently proved its effectiveness in real combat conditions.

The Teslia ground robotic system was officially codified and approved for operation within Ukraine’s Security and Defense Forces in January 2025. Since then, it has been used by various units. The vehicle is designed for transporting cargo on the front line and can also be used for casualty evacuation.

Technically, Teslia is a six-wheel high-mobility platform capable of carrying up to 180 kg of payload. Its operating range is up to 40 km or up to four hours of continuous operation. The system can also be supplied with Starlink satellite connectivity.

According to the Brave1 defense development marketplace, the price of a Teslia system ranges from approximately UAH 307,000 to UAH 531,700 depending on configuration.

TAF Industries, which acquired the fund’s stake, is a major Ukrainian defense company with its own R&D center, engineering team, and manufacturing capacity. The company’s portfolio includes more than 30 developments, including FPV drones, reconnaissance UAVs, interceptor drones, electronic warfare systems, remote-control platforms, and AI-powered solutions. Earlier, the company also launched production of other ground robotic systems under the name Lehit.

Resist.UA specializes in early-stage investments in defense-tech projects in Ukraine and was formed with Ukrainian capital. Over the course of its operations, the fund has reviewed more than 600 projects and over 100 teams, focusing on transforming military technology solutions into sustainable commercial companies with the potential to enter international markets.
