For the first time, one of Ukraine’s swimming pools was awarded the prestigious PHTA International Awards of Excellence Winners 2023. The swimming pool of the Emily Resort sports and recreation complex in Vynnyky won in the category “Swimming pools for competitions”.
The PHTA International Awards of Excellence is one of the largest and most renowned design awards in the pool industry. This award is presented for the design of swimming pools, spas and water features. Hundreds of pools from all over the world took part in the competition in various categories.
“We received many more applications than last year, and all of them were of the highest caliber,” said Sabina Hickman, CAE, President and CEO of PHTA.
The size of the Emily Wellness & SPA sports pool is 25×16 meters. The depth is from 1.2 m to 1.8 m. The water temperature is 26-28°. The pool was built using the latest technology and framed by wide panoramic windows. And this is not the only pool in the sports and recreation complex.
Emily Resort is a modern multifunctional complex for recreation, sports and health improvement for the whole family all year round. The complex consists of four spacious swimming pools for children and adults, with swimming lanes, a children’s water park, a spa center and an outdoor jacuzzi on the terrace with a unique panorama of the crystal lake and forest.
The modern design and advanced technologies of the complex are perfectly combined with nature, and the healing air of the mountains is conducive to relaxation and health recovery.
Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, a well-known Lviv philanthropist and founder of Emily Resort and FC Ruh, emphasized that receiving such a prestigious international award is a source of pride for Ukraine in this difficult time.
“We are proud to receive this award at such a difficult time for Ukraine. I am proud that we Ukrainians are the best in everything, even in such a business as pool design. Ukrainians are not only a strong but also a creative nation. Emily Resort is a unique place where we have combined Ukrainian nature, modern design solutions and sports,” commented Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy.
He noted that Emily Resort has managed to combine Ukrainian nature, modern design solutions, sports and recreation.
The complex is also combined with the sports base of FC Ruh, where young footballers are trained and various competitions and preparations for them are held, such as the Invictus Games, an international sports competition for military personnel and veterans who have been injured in the line of duty.
The owners of the complex did not stay away from helping our wounded defenders. With the support of the founder of FC Ruh and Emily Resort, Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, the Above All project is operating to treat and rehabilitate wounded Ukrainian soldiers and civilians. And the resources of the club and its founder guarantee a high level of service and assistance that our wounded soldiers need. The Emily complex and the Ruh Academy have everything necessary for the rehabilitation of the wounded. To date, 54 Ukrainians have already received the help of specialists, and 37 of them have undergone treatment and rehabilitation at the Ruh Academy.
