Head of SPILNO Project Office Taras Boychuk said that the concession of the SE "Stevedoring Company Olvia" assumes investments from the investor in the amount of $ 60 million, as well as the construction of a new grain terminal with a throughput of 2 million tons per year.
According to him, the concession will be calculated for 35 years with two options for payment of concession fees: fixed, which will depend on the dividends paid in 2015-2017, and the variables to be adopted at the tender stage.
Taras Boychuk added that the concessionaire will also have social obligations concerning the employment of port workers.
Not so long ago, work was completed on the preparation of feasibility studies for the concession of the ports of Olvia and Kherson. The Ministry of Infrastructure, for its part, called on investors to apply for contests. The ministry told that there were already 20 applicants wishing to take these enterprises into a concession.
