Turkish electrical engineering company Astor Enerji A.Ş. is considering investing up to $200 million in the development of a manufacturing complex in Kyiv Region. The project would involve the production of energy equipment and the creation of new industrial capacity in the region.
The potential investment was announced by the Kyiv Region Development Agency. A memorandum of cooperation between Astor Enerji and the Kyiv Regional Military Administration was signed during the Carpathian Eight Summit with the support of the Kyiv Region Development Agency.
The planned manufacturing complex is expected to produce energy storage systems, battery solutions, electrical equipment and transformer equipment. If implemented, the project would create new manufacturing capacity and jobs in Kyiv Region.
The project is also expected to support the development of the region’s industrial base, the introduction of modern technologies and stronger energy resilience.
Astor Enerji is a Turkish manufacturer of transformers, high-voltage and other electrical equipment that has operated since 1983. The company’s headquarters and main production facilities, covering approximately 140,000 sq m, are located in Ankara.
The company exports its products to more than 90 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the United States and Central Asia. Astor Enerji’s product portfolio includes power and distribution transformers as well as medium- and high-voltage equipment. The company is also developing energy storage systems, battery solutions and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
In 2025, Astor Enerji generated revenue of $892.7 million. In the second quarter of 2026, the company reported revenue of $203.9 million and net profit of $59.5 million.
In September 2026, Astor Enerji also signed agreements through a US intermediary to supply Ukraine with power transformers worth a total of $98 million.
