According to the head of the representative office and general coordinator of Onur Group Emre Karaahmetoglu, the Turkish company plans to increase the land bank in Ukraine by 2 times – up to 10 thousand hectares.
Emre Karaahmetoglu noted that two years ago, a Turkish group began investing in the Ukrainian agricultural sector. Now the group has 5 thousand hectares of land, but it wants to double the land bank to 10 thousand hectares, mainly focusing on grain production.
According to him, if the group succeeds in the grain business, then it will expand production in other sectors in the future.
It is worth reminding that recently, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine began to consider amendments to the draft of a law No. 2178-10 "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the turnover of agricultural land"
