The funding will be used to launch mass production, bring the product to market, and expand the team. The company also plans to develop fully autonomous intelligence systems powered by artificial intelligence.
Sky Spy notes that current signals intelligence tools often fail to deliver sufficiently timely data, causing military units to miss up to 80% of small but high-priority targets and forcing operators to rely on visual observation. The company’s new technology aims to address this critical gap.
The investment round followed successful testing of Sky Spy’s first product, Agent 001, by Ukrainian forces. The system was able to detect and locate various hostile emitters, including drone control stations and electronic warfare systems.
Agent 001 is a lightweight onboard module capable of detecting, classifying, and geolocating radio-frequency sources in real time. It processes the entire signal autonomously, without external computing systems, while costing less than traditional SIGINT solutions. The module is compatible with any COP/C2 infrastructure.
The round was led by Expeditions Fund and Superangel, with participation from Freedom Fund, Sunfish Partners, Crosscourt Ventures, and Material Ventures.
Expeditions Fund stated that it had been seeking technologies capable of significantly enhancing battlefield SIGINT capabilities and identified such potential in Sky Spy. Representatives of Superangel highlighted the team’s deep technical expertise and its ability to rapidly solve complex engineering challenges.
