Ukrainian MP Halyna Yanchenko recently visited the opening of Opos-Torg’s new facility in Volyn. The plant will manufacture frozen meat semi-finished products and freeze-dried pet food under the Cosset brand.
The facility is designed for dual production: human-grade semi-finished products and pet treats. The company expects to export 60% of its output to the EU, the UK, Canada, and Nordic countries. Production lines are certified to meet international quality standards.
Volyn Governor Ivan Rudnytskyi noted that the plant will create 30 new jobs and is projected to generate over UAH 15 million in tax payments by 2026. The project received an UAH 8 million government grant for food processing and leveraged the “5-7-9%” state loan program to support working capital.
Operating for 25 years, Opos-Torg reported revenue of UAH 680.7 million, net profit of UAH 7.78 million, and assets of UAH 96.6 million in 2024, with a workforce of 19 employees and registered capital of UAH 205,000.
