Co-founded in 2017 by Ukrainian entrepreneurs Dmitri Lisitski and Vladimir Mikhalko, the startup has its team split between Ukraine and its New York City headquarters. Its solutions empower B2B marketers to show their ads to specific decision-makers on an individualized basis.
The company claims 57 clients globally, including Fortune 500 B2B enterprises and high-tech MLEs.
The investor pool in the recent round of funding included Boston fund One Way Ventures and Athens-based Venture Friends led the round, as well as individual investors Murat Abdurakhamanov and Peter Harrison, a former CEO of GlobalLogic.
Influ2 plans to use the fresh money to to develop new functionalities, bring in senior sales hires, and grow client base in the healthcare and IT verticals.
“With Influ2, I saw an opportunity to take a smarter approach to marketing. One that considers the person receiving the ad, and that’s the whole concept behind person-based marketing. It doesn’t replace or erase the concept of account-based marketing; it enhances it,” said Lisitskii.
“Our rapid growth this past year shows that enterprises are eager to integrate this approach into their overall marketing strategies – especially since the traditional approaches to marketing, such as trade shows, are no longer available. Marketers have been more willing to innovate and embrace new trends, and person-based advertising is at the forefront of that.”
