Ukrteplo to invest into reconstruction of sugar plant into vegetable oil processing and biofuel plants

Zaplasky sugar plant will be reconstructed into vegetable oil processing plants and a biofuel production, according to local media Dumskaya. The investor of the project will be Ukrteplo with a participation of Columbia University from the USA. The amount of the investments was not disclosed. The launching of sunflower oil and corn oil processing facilities is scheduled to be ready by the end of 2017. In 2018, a central heating station must be put into operation at the enterprise. The heating station will burn pellets of the agro products of sunflower husk and corn stalks. The ethanol production will begin in three years, according to the master plan. Upon the project completion a total number of about 600 jobs will be created.
