In the Koziatyn urban community of Vinnytsia region, authorities plan to implement an industrial park project focused on the production of technical alcohol, biofuels, and the processing of secondary raw materials into pellets.
This was announced by Vinnytsia Regional Council Chairman Viacheslav Sokolovyi during a working visit to the community.
According to him, the industrial park is planned to be located next to an operating elevator complex that has already been commissioned and has become the first phase of a broader infrastructure project. Such a location is expected to enable efficient use of both logistics capabilities and the local raw-material base.
“For Ukraine, the issue of energy independence is of strategic importance. That is why the development of biofuel production, technical alcohol production, and raw-material processing is critically important,” Sokolovyi said.
The Koziatyn community has already allocated a land plot for the construction of the industrial park. The project is expected to create new jobs, increase local budget revenues, and become a driver of the territory’s economic development.
Koziatyn City Council Secretary Iryna Repalo emphasized that the elevator complex was built from scratch and benefits from a favorable location, with a major railway junction and a highway nearby. This provides convenient logistics for the future industrial park.
According to her, once the second phase of the elevator’s construction is completed under the USAID AGRO program, the project will move to its next stage — the development of the industrial park with processing facilities.
At present, the elevator operates as a full-service complex providing grain intake, testing, conditioning, drying, sorting, and storage services, creating the foundation for launching future processing capacity.
