Californian rabbits were bred in the USA and at the moment is one of the most efficient industrial breeds in the world. According to some reports, the Californian breed is the second most common meat breed in the world, that means the effectiveness of its breeding.
It is the Californian rabbit breed that is very well adapted to the Ukrainian climate and adapted to industrial conditions.
The main advantage of the California breed is early maturity. Females mature in 4-4.5 months and in one kindling breed 9-10 rabbits. Despite the relatively small body size, the weight reaches 4 -5.5 kg.
The Californian rabbit breed meat is very tender, so it is considered to be a broiler breed. Able to achieve slaughter conditions in a short period of time. The yields of the carcass soft part are high compared to other breeds of rabbits.
