The agricultural holding of Misak Khidiryan became the owner of enterprises in Kherson region: the agricultural holding acquired “Alfa-Pharm” and “Eurasia-Agro”

As reported on the website of the A.G.R. Group, transaction support, including due diligence and preparation of transaction documents, was carried out by the international law firm Baker McKenzie, and from the seller's side, the transaction was supported by Kinsel&Co. At the moment, the common land bank A.G.R. The Group, taking into account the acquired enterprises, is more than 32,000 hectares, of which more than 2,000 hectares are under irrigation.

It is noted that for the A.G.R. Group, the acquisition of these enterprises is a strategically important event. Among various areas of optimization of crop cultivation, the company has developed a plan for the development of irrigated agriculture, increasing the yield of agricultural crops, increasing the area of ​​irrigated land, drainage systems and expanding the agricultural potential of the holding. Based on the strategy for the development of the irrigation system, the company bought irrigated land in Kherson region.

“In 2021, irrigation in Kherson will be about 1,930.1 hectares of corn, 100 hectares - soybeans, 304 hectares - winter barley, 119.6 hectares - winter wheat, 304 hectares - stubble soybeans (second harvest) after winter barley. Part of the rainfed land will be left for occupied and clean fallow. A number of field experiments will also be laid to improve the elements of technology for growing crops in Kherson region”, said the head of the department for the introduction and monitoring of technologies in crop production Khablak Sergey.

“Our goal is to bring investments into the construction of an irrigation system in all fields of the Kherson cluster, automate the metering of water and electricity consumption, increase yields and minimize dependence on weather conditions by using irrigation”, said Igor Bogdanov, the company’s CIO.
