Ukrainian agricultural company Continental Farmers Group (CFG) has officially become part of the global agri-food platform of Singapore-based Olam Agri. The parties signed the agreement on full integration on July 1.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Ukrainian agroholding will become a separate business line within Olam Agri, while retaining its operational independence, current management team and own development strategy. Continental Farmers Group CEO Georg von Nolcken will also join the executive committee of Olam Agri.
Following completion of the integration, the stake of Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC), Olam Agri’s largest shareholder, will increase from 80.01% to 81.81%.
The companies note that the combination will strengthen synergies across supply chains, trading and logistics, expand access to international markets, and reinforce the production base of the combined agri-food platform. Olam Agri emphasizes that the addition of the Ukrainian agroholding will significantly strengthen the company’s presence in Central and Eastern Europe through CFG’s own agricultural production. SALIC, in turn, views the integration as part of its long-term strategy to build a globally integrated agri-food ecosystem and improve the efficiency of its international assets.
Continental Farmers Group was established in 2019 following the merger of the Mriya and CFG agroholdings. Today, the company is one of Ukraine’s largest agricultural producers, operating in Ternopil, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi and Chernivtsi regions. Its land bank totals around 200,000 hectares, grain storage capacity reaches approximately 630,000 tonnes, and annual agricultural production exceeds 1 million tonnes.
The company’s core activities include the cultivation of grains and oilseeds, including wheat, barley, corn, soybeans, rapeseed and sunflower, as well as potato processing. The agroholding has its own logistics infrastructure, including grain elevators, transport assets and a fleet of agricultural machinery.
In 2024, Continental Farmers Group generated UAH 17.8 billion in revenue. In the first half of the following reporting period, the company posted UAH 10.5 billion in revenue, up 25% compared with the same period of the previous year.
Olam Agri is one of the world’s leading agri-food platforms, operating in more than 30 countries. The company specializes in the sourcing, processing, trading and logistics of agricultural products, with a portfolio that includes grains and oilseeds, milling products, rice, edible oils, sugar, animal feed and other agricultural commodities.
Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC) is owned by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund and invests in agri-food assets worldwide, pursuing a strategy aimed at strengthening global food security and developing international supply chains.
