The press service of the Rivne OVA reported on the holding of an auction for the sale of a special permit for the development of the amber site "Polyana" with an area of 44.63 hectares.
Seven participants competed for the lot. During the auction, the price increased 7.5 times from the starting price of UAH 4.6 million. up to UAH 35 million
The winner of the auction was the construction company "Strong-Bruk" from Dubno.
It is noted that the special permit entitles the winner to carry out geological study of the territory, research and industrial development and mining for five years.
Oleksandr Koval, the head of the Rivne OV, emphasized that the sale of special permits at open electronic auctions is not only a way to fill the budget, but also an opportunity to settle the situation with illegal amber mining in the Rivne region.
