ArcelorMittal will invest $1,2 bln in its Ukrainian assets

Investments are going to be allotted during next 5 years

In the course of the visit to Kryvyi Rih, president of the board and general director of ArcelorMittal confirmed his plans on investment of $1,2 bln in Ukrainian assets.

Currently, a few investment projects were implemented on PJSC «ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih». Lakshmi Mittal, the general director of ArcelorMittal visited an agglomerating plant, namely pulverized coal injection and coke-oven battery reconstruction sections, where he could personally estimate the implementation level of PJSC «ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih» program. Only for past 3 years more than $1 bln were invested in plant production, which became the biggest industrial investment of an international company in Ukraine. In next 4 years company is going to invest other $1.2 bln, which is evidence of discharging of its obligations towards PJSC «ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih», co-workers and Ukraine in general.

General director of PJSC «ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih» Paramjit Kahlon in his turn claimed that according to the established investment program of enterprise, two coke-oven batteries will be reconstructed, two agglomerative sections and gas purification system in converter processes will be modernized and converter vessel will be interchanged up to 2020.
