British citizen to buy Ukrainian ComInBank

A founding partner of London based GML International is ready to buy out 100% shares of domestic Commercial Industrial Bank (ComInBank)

At the end of September, the founding partner of GML International PLC Stefan Pinter received a permission from the National Bank of Ukraine to buy out 100% shares of ComInBank. The head of supervisory board of the bank is Valentin Pavaliayev who is also a chairman of GML International in Ukraine.

Prior to that, the NBU refused Evgeniy Kuzmin from having a pledge over interests of ComInBank.

Commercial Industrial Bank has been operating since 1993 in Ukraine. As of 1 July 2016, the bank's assets stood at UAH 293mln (USD 11mln). It was 91 in ranking among 108 acting banks at the time.

GML Capital LLP is a private investment advisory and management firm, specialising in emerging markets.  GML was established in 1983 and since 1996 has advised and managed funds invested primarily in emerging market high yield credit, special situations and trade finance.  The firm is owned by full-time GML personnel.
