Canada’s AgriCore to Invest Over $20M in Grain Drying and Logistics Hub in Ukraine’s Poltava Region

AgriCore Group Ltd. is launching a large-scale infrastructure project to boost grain storage, drying, and export capacity in central Ukraine

Canadian agricultural investor AgriCore Group Ltd. has announced a capital investment exceeding $20 million to build a grain drying and logistics complex in Poltava region, Ukraine. The project was officially confirmed in a press release from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine dated July 9, 2025.

Located in Kremenchuk district, near a key railway corridor connecting central Ukraine with Black Sea and Danube ports, the facility will serve as a critical regional export hub. The complex will feature state-of-the-art grain drying, storage, and transshipment infrastructure, with an estimated throughput capacity of up to 1,000 tons per day and over 35,000 tons of storage.

According to Taras Dzioba, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy, the investment demonstrates continued international confidence in Ukraine’s economy despite wartime challenges. “Strengthening agri-logistics and infrastructure is essential for ensuring stable agricultural exports to global markets,” he noted.

The project is being implemented in partnership with local agricultural cooperatives and with support from the Canada–Ukraine Foundation for Agrarian Development (CUFAF) and USAID’s AGRO program. It is expected to generate approximately 50 new jobs and integrate directly into the national railway system, with export routes toward Romania and Danube river ports.
