Carpathian Mineral Waters to Invest UAH 1 Billion in New Plant with Capacity of 200 Million Bottles per Year

Carpathian Mineral Waters Group plans to build a new plant in Lviv region with an annual capacity of 200 million bottles, supported by an EBRD loan

Carpathian Mineral Waters Group, one of Ukraine’s leading producers of non-alcoholic beverages, including the brands Carpathian Spring and Sokovynka, is planning to build a new plant in Lviv region to expand production capacity. The project is being considered with support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which is assessing the possibility of providing a long-term loan for the construction.

The total project cost is estimated at €24 million, of which the EBRD may contribute €11 million. The new plant will be equipped with modern technology and designed to produce 200 million bottles annually, significantly increasing efficiency compared to current facilities. The facility will cover an area of around 15,000 sq. m and employ up to 100 people. Equipment capacity is projected at 32,000 bottles per hour.

The idea of building a second plant in Lviv region was first announced in 2021, but implementation was delayed by Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. In May 2025, group owner Serhii Ustenko confirmed that the plant will be built near the village of Khmeleva in Zolochiv district, with commissioning scheduled for 2026.

The company’s first plant, operating since 1996, is located in the village of Strutyn, Zolochiv district. The new facility will strengthen the group’s position in the mineral water and non-alcoholic beverage market, expand production capacity, and modernize technological processes.
