Cygnet invests USD 2.7 in sugar plant

The agricultural company invested in modernization

Cygnet invested USD 2.7mln into modernization purposes of its sugar plant in Zhytomyr region of Ukraine. As a result, the company increased the projected capacity of the plant up to 30 000tons a year. The technological improvements will also contribute to the reduction of natural gas consumption by 5 cubic meters of gas per ton of sugar.

The agricultural Cygnet is a company with a foreign capital introducing new technological approaches in raising crops in Ukraine. The associated group of companies produces corn, soy, wheat and sugar beets. Cygnet tills up to 25 000ha of land plots. At this, the company is engaged in milk production owning around 700 cows. Cygnet sells milk via local traders. The capacity of the company’s grain elevators stands at 60 000 metric tons.
