EBRD starts first stage of EUR 35mln competition for solid waste management in Lviv

The tender will be announced in Q4/2017

A project worth EUR 35mln must start at the rehabilitation of the Gribovytske wasteland and follow with the construction of a plant for mechanical and biological processing of garbage. The commissioners of the project are the Lviv City Council and the Lviv Municipal Enterprise Green City. Lviv city expects to make two tenders one for the construction of a waste management plant and another for the wasteland rehabilitation. After the official call for action at the EBRD website, several German, Italian and Dutch companies voiced their interest but no one wants to be engaged in the rehabilitation of the Gribovytske wasteland, told Vadim Nozdria, the senior officer of Lviv communal enterprise Green City. The EBRD will allocate EUR 10mln for the rehabilitation of the Gribovytske wasteland, as a non-repayable funds in the frames of the EUR 35mln facility.
