The EIB decided to approve EUR 130mln facility for Ukrainian electricity major UkrEnergo. The funds will be channeled for modernization purposes of power substations.
The project has the following objectives: increasing of energy efficiency and reliability of equipment and reducing the operating costs. The project will contribute to the integration of Ukraine's energy systems with the European network of transmission system operators "ENTSO-E".
The total cost of the investment project is EUR 280mln.
To remind, UkrEnergo signed an agreement for joining the Ukrainian energy system to the European ENTSO-E energy system on June 28, 2017.
