FC Shakhtar valuation reaches €270 million after the sale of Mudrik

Forbes has updated the value of the Donetsk football club after an agreement with London Chelsea on the transfer of Mikhail Mudrik for €100 million

In connection with the transfer of footballer Mykhailo Mudryk to London Chelsea, Forbes has updated the value of Shakhtar Donetsk to €270 million.

It is noted that the current assessment is based on the total value of the players remaining at the club. The most expensive are goalkeeper Anatoly Trubin and defender Nikolay Matvienko, whose value, according to Transfermarkt at the beginning of 2023, is €11 million each.

In addition, the valuation takes into account Shakhtar's recently earned €42m Champions League prize money and the proceeds from Mudrik's transfer, including a 50% discount for the bonus part of the deal (€30m).

On January 15, Rinat Akhmetov's Shakhtar Donetsk and Chelsea of London announced the transfer of footballer Mykhailo Mudrik to the English club. In total, Shakhtar will receive €100–70 million directly for the player and another €30 million as bonuses, said Serhiy Palkin, general director of the club.
