EFI Group, an investment company, together with its partners, has begun construction of the Feednova Center plant in the Cherkasy region. The facility will produce high-protein feed additives and animal fats. According to the company’s press service on October 21, investment in the first phase amounts to €14.4 million, with total investment exceeding €20 million. The main investor is EFI Group, which cooperates with Dutch and Danish technology and equipment manufacturers for the processing industry.
The new plant will include four production lines capable of processing over 150 tons of raw materials per day and producing more than 50 tons of finished products — meat and bone meal, feather meal, blood meal, and animal fats. Production will comply with international GMP+ and ISCC standards, allowing over 80% of output to be exported to EU and Asian markets. Feednova Center will become the first facility in central Ukraine to process raw materials supplied by external partners. The launch is planned for Q3 2026, creating over 80 new jobs in the local community.
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has already issued a positive conclusion on the project’s feasibility. The agreement between the state and the investor is being prepared for signing following coordination with central government authorities.
Feednova Center will become the first project in Ukraine to receive compensation for the construction of engineering and transport infrastructure as early as 2025. The amount of state support is estimated at UAH 172.1 million. The plant will specialize in the production of high-protein feed additives and animal fats for agricultural and pet food use. This is an investment project of EFI Group and the second facility under the Feednova brand, designed for processing livestock by-products. The company’s first plant began operations in June 2024 in the town of Busk, Lviv region.
The first plant currently processes around 150 tons of by-products daily, producing proteins, meat and bone meal, and animal fats. In the future, the company plans to expand its product range to include biodiesel production.
