The investment holding EFI Group (Effective Investments) of businessman Igor Liski plans to begin construction of a new agro-processing plant in Cherkasy region in 2024.
The corresponding memorandum of cooperation was signed by head of the supervisory board of EFI Group Igor Liski and head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration Ihor Taburets during the Cherkasy International Economic Forum on November 10.
As the press service clarified for Interfax-Ukraine, this will be the second Feednova plant for processing livestock by-products into high-protein feed additives and animal fats (the first operates in Lviv region).
“We signed a memorandum of cooperation with Cherkasy Regional State Administration. Next year we will move on to planning, designing and implementing the construction of a huge production complex. And yes, $25 million of investment in the region means jobs, taxes, but also a story about Ukrainian quality for the whole world," Liski wrote on Facebook on Monday.
According to a press release from EFI Group with reference to Liski, when choosing a location for subsequent production, the company is guided by a set of factors, in particular, the presence of logistics preferences, the market for raw materials and human potential.
“However, relations with the regional authorities and the community where we plan to develop are no less important. In Cherkasy region, we found all the necessary conditions for this. This became the determining factor in choosing the location for the construction of the plant,” the company’s press service quotes Liski.
Currently, the honey processing company Beehive, part of EFI Group, is already operating in the region.
As reported, in Cherkasy region, EFI Group, in addition to a new project in the field of agro-processing, plans to implement another project in the field of infrastructure.
As the press service clarified for the agency, this project is currently under development, and information about it may appear no earlier than January next year.
