Former MinFin proposes to create consortium marking USD 25bn for Ukraine's economy

Natalia Yaresko voiced her proposal of organizing a consortium to helping Ukraine's economy and infrastructure to recover

Natalia Yaresko proposed to organize an international consortium consolidating USD 25bn of investments to be channeled for development of infrastructure, governance, schools and hospitals. She voiced her recommendation for the influential analytical Atlantic Council.

The former minister of finance of Ukraine concludes that bilateral and multilateral partners have to provide a USD 25bn facility during five years to profoundly invest into infrastructure.

At this, Ukraine requires to make reforms in governance, taxation, educational system, healthcare and other.

Natalia Yaresko believes that the consortium should include the World Bank, the EBRD, the European Investment Bank and other partners.

In the frames of consortium private public partnerships(PPP) are assumed to be formed.
