Fractal Acquires a Stake in Ukrainian Video Production Studio Location

IT group Fractal, through its venture studio Tonti Laguna Group, has acquired a stake in the Ukrainian video production studio Location, expanding its ecosystem into content production

The IT group Fractal has expanded its ecosystem by entering the video production segment. Tonti Laguna Group, a hybrid venture studio that is part of Fractal’s IT ecosystem, has acquired a stake in the video production studio Location. Following the transaction, Location became the 30th business within the Fractal group, according to the company’s official press release.

Location is a full-cycle video production studio. It operates its own creative space in Kyiv, equipped with 12 filming zones, enabling the team to run multiple projects in parallel. The studio consistently produces more than 100 video pieces per month, including interviews, podcasts, travel projects, and short-form content for social media.

Fractal founder and CEO Artem Borodatiuk said the deal aligns naturally with the group’s development strategy. According to him, Fractal continues to systematically build out its ecosystem, and integrating a video production studio will enable the creation of high-quality YouTube content both for group companies and their clients. Such content, he noted, helps businesses attract new audiences and customers more effectively.

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Location’s portfolio already includes several high-profile projects, such as the shows and video projects Secret Ingredient for MHP, White Balance, Finding Balance, and Blackberry Ice Cream. The team is also known for documentary projects with popular bloggers, including productions with Ramina in Afghanistan and with Dmytro Varvaruk in the frontline city of Chasiv Yar.

At the same time, the operational management of Location remains unchanged. It will continue to be led by co-owner Oleh Reshetniak, who will further develop the business in partnership with Tonti Laguna Group CEO Yelyzaveta Cherednychenko.

Fractal Group (formerly known as Netpeak Group) currently объединяет 30 companies across various segments. Its portfolio includes marketing agency Inweb, online university Choice 31, startup studio Tonti Laguna Group, LMS platform Academy Ocean, and other projects. One of the group’s most successful verticals is the mobile app studio KissMyApps.

Products and services developed by Fractal companies are used by major clients, including PrivatBank, job search platform Work.ua, retailer Epicenter, classified platform OLX, and others. Fractal is also among the leaders in hiring activity: since March 2023, the size of its team has grown by more than 17%. According to Forbes estimates, the group’s revenue in 2024 amounted to approximately $85 million.
