Social agency Kyiv IT-cluster with the support of the Kyiv city state administration created a project of Innovation Center for Entrepreneurship Development to be located and functioning in the former Bratislava cinema, Kyiv city state administration informs. The total project worth is estimated at USD 700 000.
There will be a creative space and work places, as well as laboratories altogether with available training programs. The city administration will be the guarantor in law and a controlling body for the fulfillment of all the terms and conditions stipulated by the future contracts.
The Kyiv IT-cluster has already concluded a number of preliminary agreements worth USD 100 000 with IT companies to launching the first phase of the project. Together with private means, the organization plans to approach local grant programs and COSME grants from the European Commission to develop clusters and infrastructure.
It is specified that the total area of the premises of Bratislava is 3 044 square meters, out of which 620 sq. m will remain for the cinema. After the reconstruction, the social co-working space will start functioning in Bratislava cinema.
As of present, Bratislava cinema is located on Obolonska Quay and it is in poor condition and there is a need for reconstruction.
