Italy’s Guala Pack to Invest €12M in New Factory at Bila Tserkva Industrial Park

Italian packaging company Guala Pack is investing €12 million in the construction of a new production facility at Bila Tserkva Industrial Park, as part of a relocation from Sumy

GUALA PACK S.P.A, an Italian manufacturer of flexible packaging for the food industry, will invest €12 million to build a new 10,000 m² production complex at the Bila Tserkva Industrial Park. The news was announced by Dmytro Kysylevskyi, Deputy Chair of the Ukrainian Parliament’s Economic Development Committee.

According to Kysylevskyi, an agreement between the industrial park and the company's Ukrainian subsidiary, Gualapack Ukraine, was recently signed in Rome. The new facility will replace the company’s plant that operated in Sumy before the war and was partially relaunched on leased premises in Ternopil region.

The factory produces packaging solutions for the food industry and currently employs around 300 people, with an average salary of UAH 30,000. Construction and installation of utility infrastructure are expected to take approximately one year. All facilities will be built from the ground up to meet the company’s technical requirements.

As of now, the Bila Tserkva Industrial Park hosts 19 resident companies, including Unilever, InTiCa Systems, Peikko, Pripravka, Nova Poshta, Volytsia-Agro, Plank Electrotechnic, and Virastar. In April 2025, Peikko Group inaugurated a new plant at the park for the production of concrete connections.

Gualapack Ukraine has been active on the Ukrainian market since 2013 and is a leading player in the flexible packaging segment. In 2024, the company reported a non-consolidated net profit of UAH 13.05 million — a tenfold decrease from the previous year — on revenue of UAH 1.145 billion (+3.6% YoY).

In May 2023, Guala Pack acquired 100% of Polish company Gualapack Poland (formerly ALIKO-TRADING), marking a step toward expanding its footprint in the Polish market.
