Porous Ceramics to Launch Production of 30 Million Bricks Annually in Ternopil Region

A new plant in Ternopil region is nearing completion, with a production capacity of up to 30 million bricks per year

The head of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration, Viacheslav Nehoda, announced that reconstruction works at Porous Ceramics LLC, which began back in 2016, are now nearing completion, with the facility already more than 90% ready.

The plant will manufacture standard bricks and ceramic blocks for industrial, residential, and agricultural construction. Around 50 employees are expected to be employed at the enterprise. The production will be high-tech and largely automated, using locally sourced raw materials. Natural gas will serve as the main energy source, with an option to switch to pellets in the future.

Porous Ceramics LLC was established in August 2016 and is part of the corporate group of entrepreneur Andrii Horuk. The group includes companies operating in the food industry, extruded polystyrene production, building materials manufacturing, and real estate. Porous Ceramics specializes in producing bricks, tiles, and other fired clay products. In 2024, the company’s assets grew to nearly UAH 99 million, while losses amounted to UAH 1.6 million.
