KSG Agro to Invest UAH 25M in Autonomous Water Supply for Pig Farm

Agroholding KSG Agro will allocate more than UAH 25 million to create an autonomous water supply system for one of its pig farms in Dnipropetrovsk Region. The company plans to complete the project by the end of 2026 and fully supply the enterprise with water from its own sources, reducing dependence on external infrastructure and increasing production resilience amid wartime risks.

The investment project provides for the reconstruction and modernization of pumping station No. 10, which supplies water from the Dnipro–Kryvyi Rih canal. The project also includes the renovation of pipelines, installation of modern pumping equipment, implementation of automated metering systems and digital tools for water distribution management.

The company notes that the project will not only ensure uninterrupted water supply to production facilities, but also reduce resource losses and lower operating costs in the long term. According to KSG Agro’s estimates, the payback period for the investment will be three to four years.

The initiative is based on the establishment of the Nyva water users’ organization, which brought together 189 landowners and land users in the region. The organization will coordinate water supply services for the production and irrigation needs of its members. The irrigation network transferred to its management covers 1,052 ha and is considered one of the three largest irrigation systems in Dnipropetrovsk Region.

According to the company, the pig farm consumes about 20,000 cubic meters of water per month, making reliable and independent water supply critically important for the stable operation of the enterprise.

KSG Agro is a vertically integrated agricultural holding specializing in pig farming, as well as the cultivation, storage, processing and sale of grains and oilseeds. The company’s land bank in Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions is around 21,000 ha, while the holding itself is among the top five pork producers in Ukraine. KSG Agro’s shares are listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
