A new grains elevator will be built in the village of Zaporozhets of Sinelnikov region in Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine, according to the press service of Dnipropetrovsk State Administration. The local farmers initiated and undertook the projects by themselves, emphasized the counselor of the head of Dnipropetrovsk State Administration. The foundation works are scheduled to be carried out in autumn this year, whereas the new-construction building commissioning will be the next year. The projected capacity of the facility is at 17 000 metric tons. It will allow taking in of up to 20 trucks of grains daily. The elevator will serve to establish relationships directly with sellers and buyers without traders in between, told mr. Vladimir Roi, one of the co-investors of the project. The investors elaborate that Sinelnikov region occupies 120 000ha of arable land. At this, agricultural lands stretch along 40km of the Dnieper River and there is no river grain elevator nearby at all to make advantageous cargo shipments. The local farmers grow some 300 000tons of grains a year. These are wheat, barley, corn, and sunflowers seeds (nearly 100 000tons). The investors emphasize that barges from their elevator can reach as far away as Indian shores.
