According to the AMCU, the approval relates to the transfer of corporate rights to an enterprise cultivating approximately 6,600 hectares of farmland in the Kharkiv region.
AF Podolivska is part of AGRONOVA, one of the core business directions of the NOVAAGRO Group, whose beneficiary is Serhii Polumysnyi. The farm specializes in growing grain and oilseed crops and operates in a high-risk climatic zone due to its proximity to the frontline.
The group’s Executive Director, Volodymyr Krasovskyi, explained that the sale is part of a broader strategy to restructure the land bank and optimize the company’s operational footprint.
“This is the most remote farm from the group’s main assets, located closest to Donetsk region in an area with challenging climatic conditions for cultivating our traditional crops. Historically, this has negatively affected its performance metrics compared to other farms in the group,” he noted.
According to the company, NOVAAGRO’s key production assets and logistics infrastructure are concentrated in the southeast of Kharkiv region, making a focus on closer farms more economically justified.
LLC "ADP-AGRO" operates in the cultivation of grain, oilseed, and technical crops. The company has been actively expanding its land bank in 2024–2025, including through acquisitions in eastern and central Ukraine.
Market analysts note that the acquisition of AF Podolivska could strengthen the company’s regional vertical and improve operational efficiency through consolidation of the land portfolio.
The years 2024–2025 have seen renewed M&A activity in the agricultural sector following a sharp decline at the onset of the full-scale invasion.
According to InVenture analysts, the key drivers of renewed interest in transactions include:
-
restructuring of land banks by major holdings,
-
the exit of some players from high-risk regions,
-
demand from mid-sized agricultural companies for scaling,
-
investor interest in discounted deals in frontline regions.
NOVAAGRO Group is one of the largest private agro-industrial holdings in Eastern Ukraine, operating across three key areas: crop production, elevator infrastructure, and trading. The company manages an extensive network of grain elevators, an oilseed processing plant, and its own logistics capacities.
